Many moons ago, my husband and I purchased our first DSLR camera. It was big. It was bulky. It was… intimidating. We hadn’t the faintest clue on how to use the dang thing, so we decided we needed a little project to test our abilities and harness our skills. As luck would have it, October was just around the corner, and I thought, What better time to take our new camera out for a spin? And thus, the Halloween Project was born. We made it our mission to take 31 spooky pictures—one for each day of the glorious month of October—and post them on social media (because that’s what us millennials like to do). It wound up being a raging success, and when the next October rolled around, we thought… Why not? It couldn’t possibly be that hard to come up with 31 more spooky pictures, now could it? So we did it. Again, and again, year after year. Now you may think, There’s no way they could come up with 217 spooky pictures—each unique and gory in its own special way—but I assure you, we can. And we did. The proof is only a click away. So please… sit back, relax, and enjoy 31 Days of Halloween. That is, if you dare…

Rather stick to the books? No problem at all!
